April No Prep Printables: Distance Learning
Hello my sweet teacher friends!
Crazy times, right? I never in a million years would have thought we would be here. It’s been absolutely heartbreaking the way this pandemic has unfolded.
My heart breaks for the sick, for parents, for our students, for teachers, for the medical staff, and for the millions who are now without a job. My heart goes out to all of you, all of us have been affected by this virus in some way.
Times like these really makes me realize how much I don’t know. I don’t know when we’ll get back to our “normal lives.” I don’t know if or when I’ll see my students again, and I also don’t know if the word “unprecedented” has been used more in the history of mankind!
But what I do know is that I have been blown away by all of the educators nationwide. It’s been inspiring seeing the creative ways you are still reaching your students. Suddenly we’re being thrown into this world of distance learning with little to no preparation, and teachers have handled it with such determination and grit; it’s been incredible to watch. The amount of love and devotion that has been poured out on students everywhere is absolutely staggering. Teachers stop at nothing to make sure that their kids are reached, and I am so proud to be a part of such a dedicated group of people.
I won’t lie, I cried pretty hard when they announced we wouldn’t be returning back to school. And I didn’t cry once, it has been pretty much every day since school has closed. I miss my babies so much!
Since then, I’ve been working on distance learning for my class and created these printable worksheets to help my students practice the skills that we’ve been learning in the classroom. Hopefully you will find them helpful as well! Please note, if you would like to send these electronically to your parents for distance learning for your classroom, please, please do so! Stay strong friends, we’re all in this together!
