Easter Partaaaaaay!!
Happy Easter!
I can’t believe that it’s almost Easter or that it’s April, or that we only have 39 days of school left! My kids have been BOUNCING OFF THE WALLS, and it didn’t help that we did a jelly bean sorting & graphing yesterday and they of course, ate their jellybeans after they were done. We were kind of asking for it at that point.
My teammate and I always do our planning together, and for our party this year we planned for four different activities at each center (we treat it as if it were a normal day with centers, but have fun activities at each table. That way we keep the chaos somewhat contained 😉
We also played a game called called “Eggs Full of Sound” The kids LOVED it! You fill eggs with various items such as a penny, paper clip, marble, cotton ball. etc. Then you display those same items for the kiddos to see. We shake the eggs and try to guess which of the items is inside.
It was pretty funny to shake an egg that would make a distinct “clink clink” sound and one of the kids shouts “A cotton ball!” Haha, but that’s why we play these games right?! To help develop those senses. 🙂
Here are some pics from our party and the four different centers we did:
Table 1: Dirt Cups with Bunny Peeps!
Table 2: Bunny Ears Headband!
Table 3: Bunny Bait!
AKA: A hodge podge of various snacks mixed together. E.g., popcorn, chocolate chips, Auntie Annie’s Bunnies, Easter M&M’s and Robins Eggs! The kiddos leave some out to lure the Easter bunny to their house (they also have a nibble themselves 😉
Table 4: Easter Egg Hunt outside!
We made these easter bags the day before:
