November Activities for Little Learners
We are officially heading into the month of November which means it’s time to switch up those centers and learning areas! I’m a sucker for thematic activities (and anything to do with Thanksgiving A.K.A- Food) which inspired me to create this November Activities and Centers packet that includes 18 interactive centers. These centers work on Letter Recognition, Number Recognition, Counting, Colors, Patterns, Fine Motor Skills, and more!
You can use these activities in a variety of ways. I like to use them for our rotating centers/literacy centers or even for those early finishers. Check out below to take a peek into the November Activities and Centers for Little Learners!
Turkey Feather Color Sorting
Your students will get a kick out of this turkey feather sorting. Kiddos will not only practice color recognition but sight word recognition/beginning reading skills as well!
Tip* You can also have students roll a piece of play dough out to place behind the turkeys so they have something to stick the feathers in and hold them in place.
Pumpkin Pie Counting
I LOVE a good fine motor skills activity and this pumpkin pie counting activity is no exception! Students use tweezers and small white pom-poms to add the correct amount of “whipped cream” on top of their pumpkin pie.
Tip* Use easy grip safety tweezers for this activity. I found mine at Lakeshore Learning (click here to grab them!)
Turkey Alphabet Match
Get more hands-on with your learning activities by using this turkey alphabet match with your students. Using magnetic letters, kiddos find the correct lowercase letter to match to the uppercase.
Tip* You can also differentiate this activity by matching uppercase to uppercase! 🙌
Pumpkin Pie Shaving Cream Letters
Flash cards are overrated, use shaving cream instead! Your kids will be squealing in delight while using this pumpkin pie letters activity! Using the visual alphabet card, students draw the letter in the “whipped cream” of their pumpkin pie!
Tip* Have students say the name of the letter and it’s sound while drawing it in their shaving cream in order to practice letter/sound association.
